David Cohen, Of Counsel
David’s experience includes the representation of clients in real estate acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, and real estate finance, from both sides of the transaction. In addition David has provided a wide range of services in a variety of disciplines including service contracts, easements, construction contracts, real estate brokerage contracts, cross-border real estate licensing, golf course and private club operations contracts, hotel management agreements, independent contractor agreements as well as dispute resolution, supervision and analysis of litigation, and insurance coverage issues.
David’s in-house experience was built on a strong foundation earned in private practice in the real estate department of the Manhattan office of Kaye Scholer, LLP from 1997 to 2004. As a result of his service as general counsel to Empire American Holdings, LLC, a large multi-family investor, from 2004 to 2010, and assistant general counsel to The Trump Organization, from 2011 to 2022, David is able to share the practical perspective of clients and understand the real world experience of how businesses live with agreements after they are drafted. David provides zealous and creative representation to achieve the desired results, as well as meticulous and thorough attention to protecting his clients’ interests.
