David Sheps, Counsel
David is a member of the firm’s commercial real estate group. His practice is focused in the area of commercial real estate and healthcare transactions, assisting clients in the financing, refinancing and purchase and sale of real estate and healthcare assets, including commercial office buildings, skilled-nursing facilities, multi-family housing and retail properties.
Prior to joining Berman, Boyle & Engel LLC, David was an associate at two large international law firms where he represented investment banks and other large financial institutions in complex real estate financing transactions, including the origination and syndication of mortgage loans secured by commercial real estate. During that time, David had the opportunity to twice serve as a Secondee to Morgan Stanley Bank, N.A. where he advised the business teams on loan workouts and the financing of commercial real estate loans.
David received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his B.A. from Thomas Edison State College. While at Penn Law, David was an intern for the Honorable Judge Cheryl A. Krause of the Unites States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, an associate editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law, and received a Certificate in Management from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.
David is admitted to practice in the State of New York and was selected to Super Lawyers’ New York Rising Stars® from 2021 – 2026.
