Meyer Berman, Partner

Meyer is a transactional attorney who leads the firm’s Commercial Real Estate and Healthcare Groups. He represents owners, investors, developers and other stakeholders in structuring, negotiating and executing complex transactions involving commercial real estate and healthcare assets. His practice combines sophisticated transactional experience with a practical understanding of the business and investment objectives underlying each deal.

Meyer’s commercial real estate practice encompasses acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, financings, 1031 exchanges and other transactions involving the ownership, development, financing and operation of commercial real estate. His healthcare practice focuses on the unique transactional and real estate needs of owners and operators of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, development and other transactions involving healthcare facilities and related real estate.

Meyer began his career at two leading international law firms, where he developed extensive experience handling complex commercial real estate and transactional matters. He subsequently served as Associate General Counsel of a New York-based real estate fund, gaining firsthand experience evaluating and executing transactions from the perspective of an institutional owner and investor. He later founded his own practice to provide sophisticated legal counsel with a focus on responsiveness, practical problem-solving and client service.

Drawing on experience across both private practice and institutional real estate investment, Meyer approaches each transaction with a focus on understanding his clients’ objectives, identifying opportunities and risks, and delivering practical, strategic and business-minded counsel.
